1. Scope
1.l This specification covers chromium, chromium-nickel,and chromium-manganese-nickel stainless steel plate,sheet,and strip for pressure vessels and for general applicationsincluding architectural，building，construction,and aestheticapplications.
1.2 The values stated in either Sl units or inch-pound unitsare to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated ineach system may not be exact equivalents;therefore,eachsystem shall be used independently of the other. Combiningvalues from the two systems may result in non-conformancewith the standard.
1.3 This specification is expressed in both inch-pound andSl units. However，unless the order specifies the applicable“M” specification designation (Sl units),the material shall befurnished in inch-pound units.
